This
lab demonstrates the considerations required to select a proper grease
gun for a given application. Not all grease guns deliver the same amount
of grease per stroke and this lab instructs the student in the proper
method of determining the actual delivery.
Additional exercises include:
- Estimating the proper viscosity range for a given application.
- Determining the correct amount of grease for both initial
lubrication and re-lubrication of rolling element bearings.
- Determining re-lubrication intervals for various types of anti-friction bearings
